Summer Storm Causes Havoc In Town - Beetree Rd / Gooden Rd

On 06/29/2012 the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Kent and Caroline Counties. At 23:57 the station was alerted for wires down near the intersection of Henderson Rd and Gooden Rd. Brush 56-0 responded with 56-19 (Melvin) w/2 and Rescue 56-3 responded with 56-24 (Madden)w/7. Units were cleared at 00:16. While returning to quarters units were advised of a tree across the roadway on Crownstone Rd. Engine 56-3 responded to Crownstone Rd. The crews cut up the tree and removed the tree from the roadway. At 00:40 Brush 56-0 responded to Third St for another report of a tree across the roadway. The crew of 56-0 removed the tree from the roadway.
